If you’ve ever had to deal with a collection agency then you know that they do not play by anyone’s rules. I’ve had to deal with one company trying to collect the same ‘paid’ bill over the last 12 years. They keep hoping I’ll lose my release letter and they can collect the debt again. The thing is, if I lose that letter, then there is no legal recourse for myself.
The only thing you can do is learn how to stop debt. Recently I read a report that claims the average household pays $400 in interest a month… not counting their mortgage. It is the credit card debt and small loans that add up. The more you need the money, the more interest rates you’ll pay.
I’ve given several talks on debt. Spend an hour on the site and you’ll be surprised at how easy you can get out of debt.
